What is FIEM?

Fully Indie Electronic Music is music that is conceived, produced, mixed and mastered, prepared for distribution, and submitted to a distributor, all by the individuals who actually perform the music. None of the financial benefit from the music goes anywhere else but to its creators.

FIEM is hard to achieve, and in the past, practically impossible for a variety of reasons, but today’s technology has brought it within reach of a single individual to produce and distribute music all on their own. Ikhed (and the synonymous label Eigenstate) are an example of this.
